well everyone... its been a while...

although, not much has changed really.  ever since I got back from chicago, its been non stop work.  and you know what they say, all work and no play... but its all good, the play will come soon enough.  the indoor soccer place is about to open again and i am ready to go start playing again.  let's hope i dont jack up my ankle like i did last season.  between that and the car wreck, i sat out about half the games, which completely sucked.  oh well, i've been training and such in some various form or fashion since the season ended so this season i should be stronger, faster... now better, we'll see. haha.  i did play in a company softball tournament which was cool.  the team made it to the finals and i made a ton of plays at short stop, i counted 12 outs for me, 4 hits, 3 RBIs and one ground out.  so it was good to see that some old skills are still there.  they were going to play this sunday, but it was too damn cold and i didnt want to get out of bed.  ive been on the bike alot, which is good, and will hopefully be ordering my indoor trainer soon.  i need to put in a good two weeks of hard training before the season starts though to make sure i'm up to where i need to be.  all american, here i come.

i did get to hang out with KR last weekend, which was a blast cuz I dont see her very often.

unfortunately, i do seem to be putting in some major hours lately.  it seems that the old habits are coming back in a hurry, despite my best efforts.  oh well, i will figure something out.  only 59 days until vacation!  i really have never taken this much time off in a row my ENTIRE work career.  i dont know what i will do with 12 days in a row without work.  i should be able to catch up on my video games. haha.  xbox 360 here i come.  maybe i'll go to vegas or something for a weekend.  new years in vegas could be one hell of a party, but thats unlikely to happen and would rather wait until i had the money to spend on one hell of a good time.

work confuses me sometimes.  it seems like they are taking things away and giving them to people who have no idea what they are doing with them (well they know what they are doing, but they lack the necessary background information) and getting me involved in so many other things.  either they are working on some type of transition or they are just seeing if i will crack.  well thats unlikely because it takes a lot for that.  oh well, works has its good points and its bad, but its work nonetheless.  someone told me today that i had a love affair with my job, which is about right. except my job is official, no torrid secret affairs lol.

ok, so now i have a decision to make.  as most of you know, i'm a home theater nut.  if it doesnt make my ears bleed, its not good enough.  Pioneer just released a really SWEET home theater receiver that is unbelievable.  THX2 certified (the only one on the market) with more inputs and outputs than you can shake a stick at.  well you could shake a stick at it, but if you shake one at my home theater equipment i will hurt you. haha.  so its kinda pricey, but i really want it.  or i could get new shoes and pedals for the bike.  maybe i could get both... hmmm...  well i'm outskie... later.

Greetings from the Windy City!  I've been in chicago since Thursday for work.  The first 2 days I worked out of the corporate office on a pretty big project and we made some major progress which I am very happy about.  There was some confusion and frustration as to when I was supposed to go, but it all ended up ok.  The second part of the weekend was for something we call Culture Survey.  It's something that we do every year to get a pulse on the organization and how its functioning.  This was also my first year to get scored by my team and I got a pretty high score, but still kinda disappointed because I really wanted a coach award this year, but maybe next year.  I have some good ground work to build on so i am happy about that.  And then the weekend starting going horribly wrong.  On Saturday night, a band I would love to see play live, The Lovehammers, were playing in Chicago but I could not make it out to watch them and I was not happy about that but they are gonna play the week of Thanksgiving and I may wander back up here for that.  so if you're interested, let me know!!!  Our flight today was not set to go until 7 something which I was not happy about because we got done at 3 and I do not like to waste time.  So I came to the airport early in hopes of hopping an early flight, but to no success.  So me and a couple of guys from work decided to kill time at the bar and we get a phone call that our flight was freakin cancelled.  I'm pissed at this point, because I REALLY wanted to get home, but oh well.  So I am not sitting in a hotel room (that apparently has a water leak in the ceiling somewhere) in Chicago updating my xanga per KBs request.  The short work week will be nice, but i plan on spending some quality TV time and time at the theater over the next couple of days.  All I have to say is thank god for MP3 players, mine kept me sane all weekend.  Today just was not a good day, but hey, we all have those just gotta hope that tomorrow is better.

at KB's request, more details...

well they are filming this Christian film titled Time and Again in B'Ville and my buddy Rob has the lead.  So he gave me a call to come out and be an extra so I did and I essentially volunteered to get knocked around.  Now Rob is no slouch and a pretty solid guy.  So he is running down a street around some bystanders (more extras) except I am the bystander who happens to walk out of a cafe on my cell phone (what else) and BAM! knocked to the ground.  So 14 total takes and 3 or 4 different camera shots later, I was done, and extremely sore.. we managed to knock elbows under ribs once and that hurt like a sonofa, but its all good.  I was really sore Saturday night and a lil sore Sunday, but I am all good now.

If you would like an autographed copy of the DVD when it comes out, I am sure I can arrange that, LOL

So in the credits, I get credited under EXTRAS and STUNTMAN. haha. sweet.
